Architecture Thesaurus
Introduction
Purpose
The
purpose of this mini-thesaurus is to provide a sampling of information
architecture terms that could be applicable to web site designers
and testers.
Scope
This
thesaurus covers two main sub-categories within the field of information
architecture: 1) Interface Design and 2) Usability Testing.
Standards
This
thesaurus was created using the Guidelines for the Construction,
Format, and Management of Monolingual Thesauri (ANSI/NISO Z39-19
- 2003).
Terms
There
are 60 preferred and 5 non-preferred terms in the thesaurus. Terms
were collected from the following sources, with preference given
to terms that were found in more than one source.
